Tapflo introduces a set of revolutionary pumping solutions.

Dear Friends,

We always try to carefully listen to our customers' expectations and also to follow global pumping trends.
In response to this we are launching some long awaited product updates that include:

Built-on dampener for diaphragm pumps
The Tapflo pump with a built-on dampener combines the advantages of our standard pumps with the active pulsation dampener in a compact manner. If you are looking for an effective way to eliminate pressure variations on the pump discharge and you have limited space in your installation, the built-on dampener is an ideal solution. The dampener housing is also the pump manifold so you do not have to worry about connecting the dampener to the pump. This solution does not affect the pump flow nor the dampening effect. Available in pump sizes TR20, T50 and T100 and all material executions.

Heavy duty integrated flange for plastic diaphragm pumps
Pumps with integrated flanges are a robust and solid design. When there is a risk of transferring of vibration from the installation to the pump, the solid manifolds provide better stability and sealing for the pump. Using this solution we can connect the pump to the installation by a flange (DIN, ANSI) or through a BSP thread.
Available in pump sizes T50, T100, T200 and T400 and all material executions.

Sanitary heavy duty ball cup valves for sanitary series diaphragm pumps
The range of optional valves for sanitary pumps sizes T225 and T425 consists also of heavy duty ball cup valves. The ball valve cup is made in one piece with the valve seat. It is mounted on the pump with clamps therefore ensuring easy maintenance and cleaning. This option is a perfect solution when there is risk of damage to the valve seats form the product. If such situation is to occur there is no need to replace the whole manifolds or housings, just the valve cup what drastically reduces the spare parts cost.

Filter units
Cartridge filters with 1, 3 or 7 cartridges are standalone units that can be combined with CTV vertical pumps or ordered as a complete, compact unit equipped with a CTM mag drive pump. The cartridges are available in porosities of 1, 10, 20 and 50 µm and provide up to an excellent 95% filtering efficiency. The filter is available in PP.

NOVO NORDISK:

Safety was a major concern, in regards to the risk of spillage as well as the risk for explosions.

Tapflo Denmark was contacted by an engineer in charge of projects in one of Denmark’s largest, engineering companies cooperating with Novo Nordisk. He recalled the Tapflo experience from some previous projects where Tapflo pumps were supplied.

Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company with 90 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care. The company also has leading positions within haemophilia care, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy. Novo Nordisk employs approximately 41,500 employees in 75 countries, and markets its products in more than 180 countries.

For Novo Nordisk, the above mentioned engineer required a pump that could replace existing centrifugal pumps of competitor supplier, that were difficult to control and with long lead time on both pump and spare parts. Safety was a major concern, in regards to the risk of spillage as well as the risk for explosions. The pump also had to designed with drainage in mind, and pulsations was to be minimized.

The original request was for the pump only, but after presenting the possibilities with the Tapflo Guardian system, a special pump execution was created. The pump ended up with the code: TXBK50TTB-3TMH4T. The code tells us that the pump is with a barrier system, integrated pulsation dampener, conductive PTFE pump housing and Hastelloy-C clamp ports. The pump was fitted onto a special stand with a drip pan, that allow drainage as with our standard sanitary pumps.

Both our Engineering and Production team came through, with a swift engineering process and a short lead time on the unit.

This unique pump is now installed at the pharmaceutical plant Novo Nordisk, close to Copenhagen.
 
An order for a back-up pump will be placed, when the customer has gathered experience in the use of the pump and its control system. Tapflo Denmark is now on Novo Nordisk´s suppliers list, and will be involved also in future projects.

Tapflo within its continuous process of production quality development and production plant upgrade is still growing in numbers of production area and hi-tech manufacturing equipment.
The INTEGREX i-400ST advanced Multi-Tasking machine delivers maximum versatility and throughput for medium to large complex parts. It combines the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center to produce parts in single setups.
Such a big and complicated machinery needs a special treatment during transportation and installation.
Upgrading a production machinery is an element of Tapflo’s strategy of continuous development and assuring the highest possible quality of manufactured pumps and accessories.

New improved Filter press solution from Tapflo

Tapflo TF pumps redesigned
Tapflo is proud to announce that a series of changes have been implemented in the TF pump range in order to assure better pump operation and handling.

Tapflo introduces new FTA series filter units

FTA 80 | FTA 160 | FTA 210
FTA filters complement Tapflo product range for galvanic and surface treatment industies.

Standard FTA Filter is delivered with Tapflo Centrifugal Magdrive CTM series pump, that provides safe and leakage free operation.

Depending on the unit size FTA filters are available with 1, 3 or 7 twenty inch  (20”) polypropylene filter cartridges available in standard porosities of 50, 20, 10 and 1 μm.

FTA filters made in PP, with high resistance for Acids and Alkali, find big use in surface treatment when is a need of liquids purification.

The whole surface treatment process quality often relies on the bath filtration quality.

As there are many hazardous substances used, it is of paramount importance to ensure these chemical ale handled in a safe way.

To sum up Tapflo is here to provide you with reliable solutions that increase both quality and safety of your surface treatment processes.

Traditionally we awarded The Golden Pump. This year it belongs to AP Equipments from Vietnam!
We also founded new prestigious medal, the Medal of Honor, for the most devoted and influential people in our organization.
Traditionally we certified our BIG5 members who are Germany, Russia, Sweden, Poland and the UK.
We also decided to set up similar club for most influential Asian distributors the "Asian Tigers".
This year Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Singapore and India were certified.
Congratulations for all!

During May, I was fortunate enough to visit the Tapflo manufacturing facility in Poland and the head office in Sweden.
From the moment I arrived in Gdansk, I was made to feel very welcome.
 On Friday, Adam Pszczoła was my tour guide and head tutor. After a tour of the factory, it was down to business with Jakub and David. I spent some time assembling and testing pumps.
I hope I didn’t slow the production too much. After lunch, I spent some more time on product training. In particular, I enjoyed gaining an insight into how the Tapflo products have been developed and also about some of the new features and production techniques.
I must say, I was very impressed with the attention to product quality given by everyone I met in the factory. The team work very well together.
After dinner with Adam at a traditional Polish restaurant, we visited the seaside resort town of Sopot.
On Saturday, I travelled to Gothenburg. The hotel was very busy as the Gothenburg ½ marathon with 64000 competitors was run earlier in the day.
I spent Sunday exploring the city. It was very exciting for me as it was first visit to Sweden.
On Monday morning Henrik collected me from the hotel and it was off to the office.
I spent the morning meeting everyone. I was great to meet people I had previously communicated with via email.
After some time with Gunnar and Henrik covering more product training, I spent some time with Dan on pump repair and maintenance
On Tuesday, Henrik covered some the items discussed at the recent conference in Bali.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to both sites. I feels great to be made a part of the Tapflo family.

This year we will launch our brand new Tapflo Academy - training and knowledge sharing center for Tapflo Group members, distributors, employees and partners.
 
Midsummer

Apart from Christmas, midsummer, midsommar is the most important holiday in the Swedish calendar. And for some, the very most important. The successful midsummer never-ending lunch party formula involves flowers in your hair, dancing around a pole, singing songs while drinking unsweetened, flavoured schnapps and downing a whole load of pickled herring, sill served with delightful new potatoes, chives and sour cream. All in all? A grand day out.

When:

Originally June 24th. Now Midsummer Eve is celebrated between June 20th-25th.

Where:

Skansen, public parks, gardens, summer cottages, in fact, anywhere in Sweden will do as long as it is outdoors!

Who:

Every Swedish man, woman and child.

RECIPE: Mustard Herring

Lamb and hot cross buns might be the Easter food of Anglo countries, but in Sweden, it’s all about sill, pickled herring. Herring is one of those typical Swedish dishes that you’ll always find on the table at big holidays like Christmas, Midsummer, and Easter. Normally served along with potatoes and at least a few shots of Aquavit, you can be sure that if sill is on the table you’re in for a good meal.
This version of herring doesn’t suit all tastebuds, but if you like the pickled taste of fish, you can play around with different sauces to add a new spin to your sill.

Tapflo T800 + DT800 integrating set –
Engineering to Order

Tapflo is proud to present a custom designed unit, consisting of T800 PE pump with an integrated DT800 pulsation dampener. The application is a Truck unloading station in one of the biggest paper mills in the world.
 
Our biggest AODD pumping set is mounted on a dedicated stainless steel frame.
What we achieve by applying this solution is: 
-          solid and reliable assembly of the devices, with a vertical outlet position;
-          possibility to integrate easily with existing on-site pipeline system;
-          reduced footprint of the unit: less than 0,6 m2!
 
Tapflo Diaphragm pump was chosen thanks to its robust and compact design compared to other positive displacement pumps as hose pump or progressive cavity.
The T800 can handle the necessary amount from about 30 m³ below 1 hour, has good suction abilities   and can run dry as well as we have very good suction.
 
Our Customer, specialized in distributing chemicals for paper production, is using this unit to unload chemicals from a Truck. The difficulty is that depending of the ambient temperature the chemical can become very viscous. Up to 13.000 Cst.
 
As the Tanks are quite far away from unloading station we increased the discharge diameter of the pipeline to DN150 to decrease the pressure losses in the pipeline.
The customer previously tested a standard T800 without a dampener, but the installation generated quite big pulsations and movements on the piping. After installing the T800 with dampener set, the pulsations went almost to 0 assuring smooth operation.

Easter in Sweden

Children dress up as Easter witches; clad in discarded clothes, gaily coloured headscarves and red-painted cheeks, they go from house to house in the neighbourhood and present the occupants with paintings and drawings in the hope of getting sweets in return.

Having consumed all these sweets, they are then given Easter eggs filled with yet more. Parents who are more ambitious let the children search for the eggs themselves in a treasure hunt − following clues and solving riddles until they find their prizes.

A traditional Easter lunch is likely to consist of different varieties of pickled herring, cured salmon and Jansson’s Temptation (potato, onion and pickled anchovies baked in cream). The table is often laid like a traditional smorgasbord (or smörgåsbord as it’s written in Swedish). Spiced schnapps is also a feature of the Easter table. At dinner, people eat roast lamb with potato gratin and asparagus, or some other suitable side dish.

New Magnetic ball lifters for Sanitary and EHEDG series AODD pumps

Tapflo Group is proud to announce that new magnetic ball lifters have been implemented in AODD pumps - Sanitary series and Aseptic EHEDG series. New magnetic ball lifters are implemented to enable pump emptying when no other draining option is available.
Rotating the pump is no longer needed.

Tapflo knows how important is to drain content of the pump. That’s why Tapflo designed ball lifting system which could not have been easier. The balls are lifted by simply attaching the magnets to the pumps manifold.
Materials:

  •  Valve balls are available in material options AISI 420 and PTFE with steel core
  •  Magnet casing is made of durable and antistatic PE 1000

Tapflo Group Meeting 2016

This year we had a great pleasure to host our bi-annual Tapflo Group Meeting conference in Poland. The participants arrived from 20 countries around the world.

The main award during the gala dinner ceremony was The Golden Pump Award 2016.
This time this special acknowledgement went to Tapflo South Africa. 

This year, for the second time in Tapflo history, we have awarded the Medals of Honor. This is a special acknowledgement for the most importnt and influencing people within Tapflo family.

During the Gala dinner we took an opportunity to renew the Certificates for Big 5 - the elite group of the biggest and most influencing companies within Tapflo Group. The certificates were awarded to Germany (independent distributor Steinle Industriepumpen GmbH), Tapflo Russia, Tapflo Poland, Tapflo Sweden, Tapflo UK. 

We awarded the Diplomas for the most outstanding performance within Tapflo Group. This year the Awards went to: Tapflo Austria, Tapflo Russia, Tapflo Turkey and Tapflo Baltic States

Tapflo Group Management Conference 2016

This year was rich in Tapflo Group Meetings. Just in December, in factory in Poland, we hosted the country managers representing Tapflo operations around the world, at Tapflo Group Management conference. Our teammates come form 17 countries and 3 continents. This was also the first meeting broadcasted live to the team members that couldn't attend personally.
The meetings were full of fruitful and inspiring discussions. As usual we did not forget about informal integration which is an important element "The Tapflo Way " philosophy .

Tapflo’s centrifugal magnetic drive pumps range is being supplemented with two new sizes - CTM40 and CTM50.

The new pumps offer a wide spectrum of application with head going up to 22 mWC and flow reaching 29 m3/h.

All Tapflo CTM pumps are available with BSP thread, flange or hose connections. The pumps can be  used for chemically corrosive and toxic liquids as well as for clean and thin liquids like pure chemicals, acids and alkalis because the wetted components are non-metallic injection molded thermoplastics enabling excellent corrosion resistance.

RECIPE: Pepparkakor: Swedish Holiday Gingersnaps

Hearts, pigs and horses… nothing is more traditional during the Swedish holiday season than cut out pepparkakor (gingersnaps). They’re a staple of adventskaffe (Advent Coffee), and in Sweden you find them at every social gathering throughout the month of December. More importantly, they’re the best complement to a warm mug of glögg, the flavors in both the cookies and the drink indicative of the season. The cookies are spicy, buttery and crispy, and you can’t have a December without them..

Product launch: TC Intelligent pumps 

Tapflo is proud to announce that a series of TC Intelligent diaphragm pumps has  been implemented into company’s pump range portfolio.

TC Intelligent pumps are fitted with ingenious LEAP® technology developed by Tapflo. LEAP® or ‘Low Energy Air Pump’ is a patented technology used in AODD pumps to reduce the minimum operating air pressure by reducing internal losses and friction found in conventional AODD pumps. LEAP is a unique system detecting diaphragm’s shaft position allowing the pump to be controlled by automation system.

Tapflo Academy | Beginner training

We are proudly hosting another group of participants of Tapflo Academy! Our colleagues and partners from Singapore, United Kingdom, Ukraine and Poland joined Tapflo Academy Beginner course and got essential information about pump technology, wide selection of Tapflo pumps, important applications and accessories. Students take part in hands-on training, have a factory tour and spend spare time socializing in Gdańsk Old Town.

Tapflo Group Distribution Meeting 2017

During last week we had the pleasure to host a group of Tapflo distributors from around the world. Our very special guests from Canada, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Mexico and Morroco joined the Tapflo academy to improve the knowledge of pumping technology from Tapflo as well as learn about Tapflo global targets and development plans. They also shared their own experience during very insightful country presentations. 

During the course participants learnt about the impressive growth of the Tapflo company, marketing communication news, updates in Tapflo products, Engineering to order opportunities and more. Our colleagues also had the Factory tour, Stock tour and Hands-on training. 

All successful candidates received their certificates. The atmosphere was very inspiring both during the training and informal socialization in the evening.

Tapflo Russia presented Tapflo products at the XXVI International Forum "BEER-2017" in the exhibition center Grand Hotel "Pearl" in Sochi, Russian Federation – 16-18 May 2017.
 
The exhibition was dedicated to equipment for brewing and processing raw materials, methods of transporting raw materials and beer, mini-breweries.
 
International Forum "BEER" in Sochi is the largest specialized exhibition event in the beer industry in Russia, the main meeting place for the largest representatives of the brewing industry of Russia and foreign enterprises.

The Exhibition held once in two years represents the most important branch meeting in the Czech Republic. This extraordinary event is growing in popularity as confirmed by the 2015 numbers – 360 companies from 21 countries was presented on exhibition area of 6 242 m2. The number of visitors reached to 9 123, international guests represented 26 countries.
