Tapflo metal series pumps may be equipped with double in/ outlet to achieve ”two pumps in one” for blending, mixing or circulation of liquids. The liquid in one pump chamber is separated from the other one.

Examples of applications

  • Transfer of two different liquids, two pumps in one
  • Mixing of two liquids with one pump (50/50 ratio)
  • Transfer and return of printing ink from storage to ink tray
  • Transfer and agitation of liquids with one pump (installation example)

Explosion proof pumps

Tapflo TX ATEX classification:

  • Ex II 2G Ex h IIC T6…T4 Gb
  • Ex II 2D Ex h IIIC T60ºC…T125ºC Db

Tapflo TZ ATEX classification:

  • Ex II 1G Ex h IIC T6…T4 Ga

The ATEX directive 2014/34/EU (also known as ATEX 114) is applicable on products used in explosion hazardous zones. All aluminum and cast iron pumps are by standard ATEX approved and permitted to be used in Zone 1, having model names TX…

The standard stainless steel pumps are not allowed to operate in hazardous environments. Special conductive TX and TZ pumps are available for such applications. All plastic parts utilized in such pumps are made from conductive (carbon filled) materials thus made for use in explosion hazardous environments. What is more ATEX pump are equipped with a grounding connection.

The aluminium and cast iron pumps can be used in Ex-zone 1. Stainless steel pumps can be utilized in Ex-zone 1 and Ex-zone 0.

The conductive material ensures that no electrostatic loads will be accumulated in the pump

There are two executions available: Standard – Industrial (CTS I) and Hygienic (CTS H):

  • CTS H with excellent electro polished surfaces, FDA approved seals, high finish and mechanical strength, meet the demands from food and sanitary applications.
  • CTS I with AISI 316L chemical resistance and mechanical strength is a reliable choice for industrial applications

EHEDG certified products
The EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group) certificate proves that the design is according to the hygienic guidelines. Furthermore certified products are clean ability tested.

FDA §21 CFR 177 materials
FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) §21 CFR 177 lists polymers, e.g. rubber and plastic materials approved for equipment in contact with food products.
STANDARD
EN 10204 material traceability
The EN 10204 norm gives you a checklist and traceability of materials used in the equipment. 2.1 is a general statement of compliance with material specifications, while 3.1 provides specific track records all the way to the steel mill batch (normally only on metals in contact with the product).
OPTION OPTION
EC 1935/2004 regulation
This EU regulation applies to all food contact materials, e.g. metals, plastics and rubber materials. It requires that these materials are safe, are labeled with the glass-and-fork symbol, are traceable throughout the production chain (according to above EN 10204) and that they are produced according to good manufacturing practice (GMP).
STANDARD
CE conformance
A product classified as machinery that carries the CE mark fulfill the essential health and safety requirements of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EEC.
STANDARD STANDARD
ATEX Directive 94/9/EC

If you are looking for an effective way to eliminate pressure variations on the pump discharge and you have limited space in your installation, the built-on dampener is an ideal solution. It provides all the advantages of using a standard Tapflo DT dampener but is a compact solution.

The dampener housing is also the pump manifold so you do not have to worry about connecting the dampener to the pump. This solution does not affect the pump flow or the dampening effect.

The Tapflo pump with a built-on dampener combines the advantages of our standard pumps with the active pulsation dampener in a compact manner.

Specifications

  • Max flow (Q): 330 l/min
  • Max pressure (H): 8 bar
  • Material: PE or PTFE
  • ATEX

Features & Benefits

  • Compact. Ready to use integrated set of Tapflo AOOD pump and DT pulsation dampener. No piping or additional connections is required
  • In Line. Pump outlet is at the same time dampener outlet
  • Better dampening. DT pulsation dampener is fully inline, to obtain best possible dampening effect
  • Dedicated. For each pump size same size of Pulsation Dampener is used
  • Convertible. Built on Dampener can be implemented in already existing pumps, just by replacing pump outlet (pos. 13) with DTKpulsation dampener

Air operated diaphragm pumps with integrated flanges are a robust and solid design. When there is a risk of transferring of vibration from the installation to the pump, the solid manifolds provide better stability and sealing for the pump. More material and robust construction is a perfect solution for most demanding applications such as in TF Filter press pumps where pump operates at higher pressures. Using this solution we can connect the pump to the installation by a flange (DIN, ANSI) or through a BSP thread.
